How to Land in FORTLINE
Leave the spawn box, deploy the glider, and touch down with a gun out — not on three other players.
The first fight in FORTLINE starts in the air. You spawn in a crate high above the island, you jump on your own timer, and you either deploy a glider or eat fall damage on the grass. This page is the landing walkthrough for the live 10-player FFA: when to leave the box, how the default glider works, why a stacked center drop is a free death, and what to do in the first three seconds on the ground. If you have never joined the place, read Getting Started first. If you already land fine and still lose the gunfight, skip to How to Win.
FORTLINE is a released Roblox battle royale from the Battle Royalе group (place 14313259147). Servers cap at ten. There is no Battle Bus path and no storm that forces a rotation. The drop is a skill because the lobby is small, not because a circle is closing.
Leave the box on your timer
The crate above the arena is a pre-drop room, not a tutorial island. You can sit and look at gamepass displays — Flamingo, UFO, Jet, Double Jump, Double Health, Admin RPG — or you can jump. Nothing eliminates you for staying. Nothing rewards you for jumping first either. Jump when you have a landing in mind, not when someone else yells in chat.
Look down before you leave. The island is a compact suburban arena: houses, ridges, open grass, and a few high roofs. Ten names share that picture. If four silhouettes already pointed at the same cluster of buildings, pick the next ridge over. In a ten-player FFA, “uncontested” means one other person, not zero.
You do not wait for a bus to pass a named POI. You pick a spot with your eyes and commit. That is the whole pre-drop skill.
Deploy the glider or take the hit
The default glider is a descent tool. Deploy it on the way down. Player footage is blunt about the penalty: skip the glider and you can land around 65 HP while everyone else sits at full. That is a lost first fight you scheduled yourself. The glider slows the fall. It is not optional flavor.
Steer while you glide. Hold a line toward a roof, a ridge, or the far side of a house cluster — then get off the glider as you near the ground so you are not a slow target in the sky. Gameplay clips also show a jump-pad / boost trick: ride a pad, then put the glider back on at the top of the boost to keep height. That is a movement toy, not a requirement for match one. Learn a clean land first.
Paid skins do not replace this. Drop Gliders covers Flamingo (199), UFO (299), and Jet (399). UFO footage plays as a fly-style drop; Jet is the other premium land; Flamingo is a look. None of them cancel fall damage if you never deploy. None of them give you a sixth gun. Buy a glider after you can land on a roof without eating the dirt. The Drop Kit exists for players whose recap is “I landed on two people,” not “I lost every AR trade.”
Pick a landing that is not the pile
Center grass is the worst default. It is visible from every roof, it has no wall, and it is where stacked drops collide. A slightly off-center house, a ridge with one climb, or a roof you can immediately build on is better than “the middle of the island” because three other names chose the middle too.
Read the arena map for how roofs, ridges, and open lanes work after you touch down. The short version for the air:
- Roof: you land with height and a place to put a wall. Best default if it is not already occupied.
- Ridge / hill: you can peek, then drop to a house or hold sniper lines. Good when the roofs are crowded.
- House cluster edge: shotgun range after a wall. Fine if you accept a close first fight.
- Open grass: only if you will die slower than the pile. Usually you will not.
You will not find a Fortnite-style named POI list on this wiki because the live place does not publish one. Do not memorize fake town names from clone maps. Confirm you are in 14313259147 before you copy a drop from a thumbnail that shows a different island.
First three seconds on the ground
- Touch down with a gun out, not with build mode still on.
- Swap to shotgun if the land is contested, assault rifle if you have a mid lane, sniper if you took a quiet roof.
- The first time someone shoots you, press Q (or Z / C), place one wall, leave build, shoot back. That toggle is the whole beginner land. Details live on How to Build.
Do not loot a fantasy chest route. You already have the default five: crossbow, shotgun, assault rifle, SMG, sniper. Number keys swap them when build is off. Time spent wandering empty ground is time someone else is farming the leaderboard.
If the land is 2v1 against you, disengage behind a panel and take the next angle. FORTLINE respawns. A heroic 1v3 on the first roof is not a Victory screen; it is a fast trip back to the box. Treat a bad land as a reset, then land somewhere else.
Contested lands and respawn drops
A contested land is two or more players on the same roof or in the same doorway. The player who places a wall first usually gets the shotgun. The player who stays on the glider too long is the one who eats the opening burst. Get off the glider, gun out, wall, peek.
After you die you come back to the same server. The second drop is the same skill with better information: you now know which roofs are hot. Do not repeat the center pile because it is familiar. Rotate like an arena shooter. The How to Play loop is drop, fight, respawn, board — not one cinematic landing per night.
Mobile and console use on-screen buttons instead of Q. The land still works the same: deploy, steer, gun, wall. Controls lists the binds. The island does not care which client you used to miss the glider.
What landing will not fix
A perfect roof will not save an AR trade you take in the open, and a Jet Glider will not out-snipe someone who already built. If your deaths happen after you land, spend the next Robux on Double Jump or Double Health, not a third drop skin. How to Win and the gamepass shop are the pages for that spend. If you wanted a free extra instead of a pass, Codes is still empty as of September 2026; join the group on group rewards instead.
Landing is a habit. Jump with a spot, deploy the glider, miss the pile, gun out, one wall. Repeat after every respawn until the first fight is the one you chose.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common FORTLINE questions.
Do I have to use the glider when I drop in FORTLINE?
Yes if you want full HP. Skipping the glider can land you around 65 HP. Deploy it, then get off as you near the ground.
Where should I land in FORTLINE?
Off-center roofs or ridges beat the stacked island middle. Read the arena map for how those spots play after you touch down.
Do Flamingo, UFO, or Jet gliders land me faster?
They change how the drop looks and, for UFO and Jet, how the air feels. They do not replace deploying. Details are on Drop Gliders.
What gun should I have out when I land?
Shotgun if the roof is contested, assault rifle for a mid lane, sniper if you took a quiet high spot. Swap with number keys when build mode is off.
I keep dying on the first drop. Is the match over?
No. FORTLINE respawns in the same 10-player FFA. Land somewhere else on the next drop and treat the board as the score. See How to Play.
Are there named POIs I should memorize?
The live place does not publish a POI list. Use roofs, ridges, and house edges you can see from the box. Ignore clone-map town names.
